I love water, I love wine, and I love food! So when I heard about a champagne brunch on a yacht tour - well heck yea, this is one excursion I had to try.
The Chrysalis is a beautiful 96 foot luxury yacht that launches from Columbia Point Marina. As we boarded we were greeted by the captain and crew and escorted to our table where we started the tour with toasts of champagne.
The service was fantastic - our waiter made sure that our drinks were always full while we took in the sights of the beautiful Columbia River.
The brunch began with a fresh fruit plate which I paired with a Rosé from Barnard Griffin.
Next was the Monte Cristo breakfast platter. It was DELICIOUS! It also went spectacular with the Rosé.
After our meal we wandered out to the deck to soak up the sun and enjoy the remainder of our cruise.
This is definitely an activity worth doing while you are in the area. The service, the food, the whole experience was well worth the money. This is why we now include a Water 2 Wine cruise on several of our weekend excursion packages - and the fact that they board directly in front of the hotel is an added bonus!
